I had never heard the term before. I heard it for the first time on NPR as I was driving. Then it was mentioned in an article I read. The term is Languishing. Languishing is an empty feeling that many people have noticed as a result of the past year. It's a feeling somewhere between depression and wellbeing. You're not depressed, you've lost your vigor, basically feeling stagnant. I'll admit, I have felt it. I relate completely to the feeling of languish. In fact, I felt enormous hope that there was actually a term I could now work with to get past it. We are never alone and that in itself gives me hope. For me, posting consistently on LinkedIn, engaging in other people's posts, and meeting my new connections have all helped me get past the feeling of emptiness. I hang around with like-minded, uplifting people. I get out of the house rather than slumping on a couch for hours. I don't watch mainstream anything, mainly because I don't even own a TV. Be mindful of the people around you. They may not know what's going on. We can help each other get back in the flow of everyday life. Now that you know the name, have you ever felt languish? #help #people #leadership #entrepreneur #motivation #wellbeing
