Identity Thieves know that most people with lousy credit aren't paying much attention to their credit score, and that's great news...for them!
In today's world of online monitoring companies, you'd think we would have credit fraud under control, but we don't...not even close.
People with poor credit are at risk.
Children are also at risk because no one is watching their credit.
A woman once told me that her 2 year old bought a BMW in New York!!
She was happy because the man who stole her son's social security number was paying for the loan.
She didn't realize that by the time her son turns 18, his SS number may have been sold many times over and his credit, as well as other areas of his identity, won't look so good.
Too many people think they are protected through online services that pump millions into advertising.
But, If you are not watching your own credit, even if you have a lousy credit score, you may be sorely surprised.
Credit monitoring may be one of the first places you notice suspicious activity but it isn't the only concern you will have.
Do you pay attention to your personal information?
Would you know if your children's identity has been compromised?
