Ike Ikokwu, CPA, Certified Mentor Coach inspired this post.
"Little Janie daydreams" is what my second-grade teacher wrote on my report card.
AS IF THAT WAS A BAD THING, RIGHT?!
I've learned that, despite having my imagination squelched as a child, my inner child went on to manifest those dreams.
Because of it, I have seen the world!
I have moved 22 times in my life, so far.
I lived in 3 different countries and 5 US states and traveled to 5 continents.
I followed my dream of playing the french horn, which lead to a 30-year career as a professional musician in symphony orchestras in Germany.
When my desire began to wane, I embarked on a new path to become an entrepreneur.
I believe that we must always follow our dreams and deepest desires.
Be sure you are not mistaking whims for desire.
When your dream fills you with a burning desire, as Napoleon Hill called it, unstoppable energy is created.
It is within our dreams that our purpose is revealed.
Are you pursuing a dream for your life, or just working a job?
