126- Happy Memorial Day

Today, in the USA, we celebrate our fallen heroes, everyone who died fighting for our country.

I get deeply disturbed when people take a day like this to voice opinions on political issues.

I don't care who you voted for or which political party you are affiliated with.

It's simple really. Stop what you are doing and give thanks and praise to those who gave you the ability to speak and act freely.

Sometimes it feels as if Americans have forgotten the meaning of Memorial Day.

It is my deep desire that today will be a day of thoughtful reflection and thanks for all of us.

Without those who have died fighting for this country, we would not have the freedoms that we enjoy and sometimes abuse.

Freedom isn't free and it doesn't give us the right to do whatever we want whenever we want to.

We let these fallen heroes down when we moan and complain that we are not free.

We are not a perfect country, no country is.

The United States of America still has more freedom than any other country on earth.

This is a day to celebrate those who fought to make and keep it free.

I wish you all a reflective and happy Memorial Day.
