We've all done it.
I've done it.
As salespeople, we sometimes get overly passionate about our services/products.
We want everyone to know how useful, necessary, cool, and valuable our services/products are.
This is known as throwing up on people.
We get so passionate that we forget to ask questions;
to find out exactly what the person we are speaking with needs and wants.
Stop talking and start listening.
Never sell to the person you are talking to without permission.
Instead, learn more about them and what they need.
ASK QUESTIONS.
In doing so, you may discover that the person has a completely different need.
You can then refer them to someone in your network.
I always have my network in my mind when I meet new people.
Have you "thrown up" on a prospective client?
