Data breaches are often the first step in identity theft.

A data breach is a process where thieves hack into computer systems and steal data.

Businesses experience data breaches at a far greater rate than ever before.

Important information including customer information, payment information, employee records, and bank accounts is then harvested and sold on the dark web.

The business owner could face the possibility of liability issues in the event a client or employee experiences identity theft as a result of the compromised information.

The employee may lose time from work to handle identity theft issues.

Every business should have identity theft protection for the business and the employees.

Identity Theft protection doesn't have to cost the business anything.

HOWEVER, savvy business owners sometimes offer the services as a fringe benefit to:

- attract new hires

- retain employees and

- ensure every employee is protected.

The cost to the business owner for comprehensive protection is equal to about a 10 cent raise per hour for a full-time employee.

If you have employees, are you currently offering identity theft protection?

If not, would you be interested in receiving information for your company?
