165 - What do you think when you hear the word cryptocurrency?

My first thought is that it's a scam because I don't understand cryptocurrency.
It all sounds so intangible to me.
The bitcoin scammers who try to connect on LinkedIn every day give the industry a bad reputation.
Never buy bitcoin from someone you don't know.
German philosopher, Arthur Schopenhauer said: “All truth passes through three stages: First, it is ridiculed; Second, it is violently opposed; and Third, it is accepted as self-evident.”
So, last night I stepped out of my comfort zone and had a conversation with a team of cryptocurrency consultants during a Chamber of Commerce Mixer.
Today, I'll go to a seminar to learn about bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, armed only with pen and paper.
Education is all we need to learn about any new concept.
Think back to all the new inventions people scoffed at during your lifetime.
Do you tend to scoff at cryptocurrency or are you open-minded to learning more about it?
Am I the only one who is uncomfortable talking about bitcoin?
