Students are returning to campuses all over the US.
Every young adult over the age of 18 should have a medical directive, living will, and powers of attorney in place before they leave home.
Without these documents, parents can not make important decisions for their children.
Living Wills, Medical Directives, and Powers of Attorney are part of estate planning.
One college student was rushed to ER because he had an adverse reaction to medication that left him unable to speak.
His mother arrived at the hospital and wanted to make some decisions on his behalf. The hospital refused because there was no medical directive in place.
