I had wireless internet services installed in my home office.
They didn't work.
After 5 days of no service, I told the company I must cancel their services.
They told me I would owe an early termination fee of $200!
Say WHAT?
"For services that don't work?" I asked.
They said, "Yes, you are under contract."
I knew I was beating a dead horse trying to reason with them. After all, they were under contract too, right?
I called my LegalShield law firm and an attorney wrote a letter on my behalf.
One week later, I received a reply from the company informing me that, "We are so happy to inform you that you have a zero balance and are in good standing with our company."
They went on to say that they hoped I would do business with them again.
That won't be happening.
If you or I send a letter to a company it goes to Customer Service.
When an attorney sends a letter to a company, it goes to their legal department, and the whole scene changes.
How do you respond when a company is treating you unfairly?
