210 - Afternoon traffic is relative

This took place last week.
Unfortunately, on the way there, I got drenched in the rain and then sat for 2 hours in a freezing cafeteria. The joys of open enrollment...
Shortly after writing this post, I ended up flat on my back for 4 days with a terrible sinus infection.
Yesterday, I had to visit one of my clients out in the Texas Hill Country.
Afternoon traffic was at its peak as I drove home.
I usually stop my car in the middle of the road to take a picture at some point, but there was another car coming!
Next thing you know, there will be a stoplight.
You can see for miles in either direction and there is usually no other vehicle in sight.
There are no gas stations, stores, or rest areas.
There is just this expanse of land and sky that is amazing.
I love this drive!
It is peaceful.
It is serene.
It can change your whole perspective by getting away and breathing some country air.
When was the last time you took time to drive alone in the country?
