I'm a lousy salesperson.

There, I put it in black and white, for the world of LinkedIn to see.

I have an incredible passion for the company I work with.

Sometimes that passion is misunderstood by some people.

They perceive me as coming on too strong.

Is that the truth or their perception?

Am I being pushy by explaining the services I provide in such a way that it relates to them?

They see the value but they don't want to buy anything, even if it makes sense and brings them great value.

Some people perceive they have been tricked although they were never asked to buy.

I can't change who I am and I never want to offend anyone.

Other people appreciate my energy and openness about my passion for helping others.

One thing is certain, I am not trying to please any one person.

Anthony Hopkins summed it up best in his philosophy:

"It's none of my business what people say of me and think of me. I am what I am and I do what I do. I expect nothing and accept everything. And it makes life so much easier."

If I am called out for being a pushy salesperson, that is not a reflection of me.

It's a reflection on the person who feels that way.

My job is to educate my prospective clients on the services I provide.

When I show that I care deeply for my clients and my services I consider that a positive trait.

Some will agree, some will not.

It took me a long time to accept who I am.

I now know it was worth the wait.

What do the nay-sayers you come across say about you, and how do you deal with it?
