December is National Identity Theft Prevention and Awareness month.

I see more people posting about Covid concerns than about helping people become aware of identity theft.

You stand a greater chance of becoming a victim of Identity Theft than you do of contracting Covid.

All our information is already in the hands of thieves.

It's only a matter of time before they piece it all together and use it.

Unfortunately, most people think identity theft is only about their money.

It's not only about your money!

Most people think the free or paid monitoring services they currently have are sufficient to protect them.

CREDIT MONITORING only monitors what's going on with your credit.

Credit monitoring only covers about 18% of identity theft.

Most areas are not monitored.

A thief can use your driver's license information to commit crimes.

When they don't show up in court a bench warrant goes on your record.

When you get pulled over by the police, and there are bench warrants on your record that you know nothing about you could get arrested.

What would you do?

What about your medical information?

Your medical information is not monitored by credit monitoring companies.

Why would it be? Your medical information has nothing to do with your credit.

Thieves then use your medical information to have procedures performed or get prescription drugs filled.

Worse, they can even your blood type.

This could be especially dangerous.

Rather than worrying only about what Covid's doing, pay attention to your private information especially this month.

December is the highest crime rate month for identity thieves.

Don't make it easy on them by falling for all the scams and "great deals" they offer to lure you in.

Be sure to have identity theft protection that gives you access to private licensed investigators and has full restoration services.

Are you more concerned about becoming the victim of a virus or identity theft?
