I welcome opposing views to my posts.
Opposing views add depth and provide new perspectives to a conversation.
It's never acceptable to be rude or insulting. That's not what this post is about.
I recently learned that not everyone feels the same way.
There are people who get offended when you disagree with their viewpoint.
That leaves me wondering why we are posting at all.
LinkedIn editors are not my target audience, my network of followers and connections are.
To clarify my perspective, I am here to have conversations, build relationships and network professionally to the advantage of everyone, not just myself.
I'm here to build a strong business networking community.
I don't expect everyone to see things the way I do. I welcome opposition.
LinkedIn is a business website.
Do we need constant reminders about Covid or silly videos that are not related to business?
My personal opinion is, NO we don't.
I read posts where people are sick of hearing about Covid and others where the people provide updates about it, as if no one else has watched the news.
LinkedIn is diverse.
We are all free to pass over posts where opposing views are not welcomed, leaving the author blissfully ignorant to the reality of alternative perspectives.
It's a process on this vast website of finding who you can learn from and contribute to.
Do you ever provide opposing views to posts?
