Part of my mission is to educate the younger generations on how to properly access their rights.
I never had the ability to get advice from an attorney.
My parents never used them either. We couldn't afford to.
Case in point:
My son, Philip, was 23 when he went to sign a new apartment lease.
The landlord handed him the contract and Philip said he wanted to have his attorney review it.
As Philip told me about it, he said the landlord's eyes got really big as he asked, "You have a lawyer?"
Philip responded, "I have a law firm".
I did not raise him to be arrogant but I was proud of him for protecting his rights.
It's powerful to get documents and contracts reviewed before you sign them. After all, they were written by someone else's attorney.
Having a law firm at your fingertips is powerful in business and your personal life.
Getting advice from an attorney shows that you won't be pushed around.
This is why LegalShield is one of the fastest-growing voluntary employee benefits.
Employers like to know that employees are focused on their jobs, not their personal issues.
How do you teach and empower the younger generations? Please explain in the comments.
