People are making more excuses than ever.

Three of the lamest excuses I hear are:

I'm too busy

I have so much to do

I don't have time

I'm too busy, is a slap in the face. WE ARE ALL BUSY! Busy doesn't mean anything more than, I'm unorganized.

I have so much to do, which is yet another way of saying I'm unorganized and probably unfocused.

I don't have time. We all have the same amount of time every day. Don't make time an excuse. It's not about time but how you plan and organize your time.

Lack of planning, being unorganized, and being unable to focus are the main reasons people make excuses.

There are also the elaborate drawn-out stories that some people tell.

I often find that the longer the story, the bigger the lie.

There is nothing wrong with being honest.

It is okay to say, Thank you, but I can't make it. There is no further explanation needed.

Don't make excuses for being late. You can call ahead if there is an emergency. Plan your time and learn to arrive on time. No one likes to be kept waiting.

I favorite quote of mine is, "If you can't be on time, be early."

We all make mistakes in scheduling or forget an appointment from time to time.

How do you feel about the excuses you hear?

Do you find yourself making excuses?
