Anxiety and other mental health issues are at an all-time high.

Employees are losing work and businesses are losing money.

People are making themselves sick but rather than learning to deal with the causes of stress, they fill themselves with medication which can lead to being unable to focus at work.

Yes, when identity theft and cyber protection are the topics, no one wants to hear about them.

Is it that people can not handle the stress of thinking about them?

Is it easier to ignore the reality of it than to get educated?

If I had begun this post by announcing that October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month most people would have scrolled past it.

Cybercrime and identity theft are here to stay and they are as real as cancer.

You are also almost 10 times more likely to be a victim of identity theft than die of Covid.

Yet no one seems concerned.

Many people prefer to remain blissfully ignorant by covering themselves with a $10 per month monitoring service not realizing that it only covers about 18% of identity theft.

Or worse, they think free a monitoring service from one of the credit bureaus has them covered.

NO, IT DOESN'T!

Credit fraud is not identity theft. It is ONE type of identity theft.

Cybercrime and Cyberattacks are a whole different ballgame.

They can cripple and even destroy an entire business.

Everyone on the internet plays a role in what happens here. Get educated rather than stressing out about cybercrime.

Be mindful, if you do not have the highest level of service from whatever company you are with, you are not properly covered. ASK ME WHY NOT.

Ask an expert for help and clarification.

I am happy to help or refer you to experts like @Ted Clouser, @Sharmeen Rehman @Dana Mantilia, @Douglas Brush or @Chris Albert, to name a few!

We beg you, DO IT! Learn more so you will be prepared.

Why? Because a monitoring service will be of little value once you are a victim.

Do you currently have comprehensive identity theft protection or just a monitoring service?
