I am sometimes asked if I am associated with two companies that are well-known for their extensive advertising.

Suffice it to say advertising works, even though most people think they don't fall for it.

I work with a solid company that has set the standard for years on both legal and identity theft services. LegalShield has not depended on advertising to grow.

These other companies got their concepts from LegalShield but can't offer the quality of services we provide.

I don't want to "bash the competition" which is why I won't mention names.

I am amused at how powerful advertising is in making these other companies look like so much more than they are.

People are heavily influenced by what they see on TV.

There are 100-year-old companies that don't spend as much on advertising as many newer and less significant companies.

The older ones can rely on their reputation, not compelling ads that entice people to buy.

Are you affected by other companies' ads? Does your company advertise?

How do you handle it when someone mistakes your company for a competitor?

How is your business affected by advertising?
