Yesterday, @James Laurent wrote a post on losing a follower who felt that his content was "too shallow".
The person had sent him a private message to announce his unfollowing.
At the same time, I received a private message from someone who called me out for using an abbreviation that, according to her, "needs to be left to teenagers".
I wondered if it's close to being a full moon! (...and, IT IS!)
I had been forced to be creative with the 30 character limit allotted for poll answers.
How interesting that I would get called out for a one-time occurrence in almost 9 months of posting.
But that's how people are. They look for the weak spots so they can pounce on anyone who makes a mistake.
And to think the message came from someone who doesn't post their own content. They seem to be here to critique everyone else.
I can't help but wonder if these people had our best interests at heart or lacked the courage to face possible public rebuttal should they have responded publicly.
Comments like these, and much worse, are what you may face when you post original content.
Should we stop writing because a few people leave or only have negative things to say?
ABSOLUTELY NOT!
Are you concerned with negative feedback on your posts?
Yes, I dislike criticism
No, It's an open discussion
