274 - Are you prepared for unexpected growth?

Everyone dreams of a moment when the sky will open and success will fall into their laps.

But, are you truly ready for that moment?

If the biggest account, the most important client EVER, or an incredibly influential person suddenly stood on your doorstep wanting to do business with you, would you be prepared to handle it?

Sometimes, we spend so much time dreaming about these moments we forget they could happen.

I had a moment like that yesterday.

Suddenly, 3 people wanted to join me in business.

I'm not a recruiter. I am not a recruiter. I don't even talk about our business opportunity. But, it's catching on as people look for new income streams.

My main focus is helping small business owners protect and grow their businesses. I work in the employee benefits arena helping employees stay focused on their jobs.

It came as if out of the clear blue sky, I was taken away from making calls and following up with clients.

I have new business partners to tend to.

For a brief moment, I felt myself stumbling to help get them all started. That's not what you want to be doing when a windfall occurs.

Luckily, instinct took over; the unconscious competence I have worked hard to achieve.

I took a moment to stop and breathe. I knew I was prepared and it all went well.
