Have you ever attended a business networking meeting where everyone gets up and gives their 1-minute elevator pitch? ⏱
I have seen far too many business professionals get up and waste 55 seconds by saying, "You all know what I do...", then, sit down.
In some cases, they really thought everyone knows.
In other cases, they were trying to be funny. 😂 They weren't. 😐
Never waste 60 seconds when the spotlight is on you by making a clown out of yourself unless you are a comedian. 🤡

Years ago, I was at a business networking meeting in Michigan.
It was winter. 🥶 ❄️
The roofer in our group stood up and said, "...A good referral for me is any house you see with bald spots where the snow has melted. They need insulation."
To this day, I still look for roofs with bald spots even though I now live in Texas where it doesn't snow.
His message was clear and it drew a picture.🎨
