Role models, heroes, and idols... The people we look up to.
Remember when the Beatles were everyone's role model?
They sang about peace and love.
What about when Rambo was everyone's inspiration, the underdog made a breakthrough to become the champion...
We all had someone who inspired us.
Now, look at today's world.
Tina Turner sang about not needing another hero.
We had overused the word and it lost its meaning.
Today, crowds flock to see someone who bellows profanities and has little else to say.
Travis Scott praised those who were upfront and cursed those who weren't.
He continued his rant as people died under his nose.
I don't see anyone following him now.
A fallen hero? NO, a false idol.
I don't know what drives anyone to follow so-called "artists" like this. There's no art involved.
What happened to the heroes who made us stand a bit taller?
Heroes are people who show us how to live boldly, help others, and be proud of who we are.
They taught us to be better people.
How we can change this negative spiral to help the next generations seek real heroes?
What constitutes a real hero in today's world?
Who is your hero?
