I don't know why I started collecting tins but I guess you could say it got a little out of hand.

This is day 3 of posting about things that bring me joy. I got so much joy from meeting and learning from other tin collectors.

I started learning about the history and importance of tins.

My collection is 1000+ and I have no idea what I will do with them beyond displaying them.

Why did I start collecting them?

As I mentioned, I have no idea.

The next thing I knew, I had a few and then I hit 1000.

I decided it was time to stop.

It takes 3 days to dust them all, so that doesn't happen too often!

There was a fascination I had about the diversity and artistry of the tins.

There are collections within the collection.

There is a Coca-Cola collection, Heart shaped tins, Elvis, and others.

My favorite company is Huntley and Palmer, a historic English biscuit company.

There's even a Huntley Palmer tin that was designed by a disgruntled employee with lewd scenes.

300 tins were produced before the unacceptable designs were noticed and production stopped.

There is so much history behind these tins, it fascinated me to learn more.

People collect all kinds of things, for various reasons.

Do you have a collection?
