The doors are open and people are rushing to pick up great deals.

Retail stores have prepared as best they can for a whole new type of customer.

There used to be an excitement in the air about getting out on Black Friday.

It wasn't even about the shopping as much as being a part of the excitement.

I have never been a Black Friday shopper.

I remember dropping my daughter and her friend at the mall at 5 am so they could shop.

There was no way I was going shopping at that time of day.

Instead, I went to a small local diner that was almost empty and enjoyed a silent breakfast.

Today, I know many people who are staying away from it all in part due to Covid concerns.

Many people are avoiding the frenzy because of the way people have changed over the past year.

Isn't it sad that people don't feel safe in crowds?

We see a few reports on the news about violent incidences and believe that the whole country is falling apart.

No, it's not!

Our focus is on whatever mass media shows us. Turn off your TVs folks! Turn off CNN, Fox, OAN, and all the rest!

The vast majority of people shopping across the country today will have no issues at all.

Whether you shop or not, get out and SMILE at someone today!
