I have written before about the need to pay attention before clicking on links in texts and emails.
These messages may come through on a company computer or phone.
People click absentmindedly.
Yesterday, I received this text.
I was immediately skeptical.
Instead of just assuming the message was a scam, I verified.
It doesn't take but a minute to send a text or call the person to verify if what you received is real.
In this case, it turned out to be real.
How awesome was that?
This friend sent me a $25 Amazon gift card because I had helped her with her business.
It was a total surprise because I wasn't expecting anything from her.
The point of this post is, DO NOT MAKE ASSUMPTIONS either way.
VERIFY.
Are your employees clicking on links on company computers or phones?
These types of messages don't discriminate. They show up everywhere.
Today, we must verify everything from a simple gift of thanks to transferring funds for the purchase of a house.
Are you paying attention before you click?
