It's hard to believe that 30 years ago today I brought my first child into the world.
I have learned a lot over the last 30 years, and the most significant thing is that worrying is absolutely useless.
My son, Philip, was born Dec. 21, 1991.
This year we were planning to have a big celebration once we all get together in South Carolina today.
Covid changed those plans.
Philip called me a little over a week ago thinking he had a cold. He got tested, just in case.
Then he got the news that his cold is Covid.
How do we react to this?
ONE DAY AT A TIME.
30 years has taught me not to worry.
Worry has never solved anything, ever.
Worrying is a waste of time when you really think about it.
More than anything, worry clouds the mind and is a negative distraction.
It's impossible to have faith and worry at the same time.
For now, I am holding the perfect thought that my son will be with us.
Do you consider worry a waste of time?
