Time blocking, in business and in your personal life, is a powerful aid in reaching your goals.
Many people I know are getting ready for January 1 to begin a 90-Day run, also referred to as a 12 week year.
There's a great book titled the 12 Week Year, by Brian Moran that goes into depth on the subject.
The system you choose is not as important as your determination and plan to make it happen.
A 90 Day Run takes dedication, perseverance, and the commitment to the process, not the outcome.
You'll become aware of your own personal habits, as you work through your plan while tracking your activity.
If your habits aren't working for you, you have the ability to make adjusts.
The most important ting about any type of time blocking is the activity itself, not the outcome.
A lot of people give up quickly after missing a day to 2 of not hitting their goals for the day.
It's important to get back on track and KEEP GOING!
I'm currently mapping out my first 90 days of 2022.
To break it down further, I have mapped each week and each day.
At the end of the week, I will review and plan the upcoming week.
The 90 Day run for an entrepreneur is like setting and reviewing quarterly goals in a company.
Regardless of the size of the business a 90 Day Run can transform a business.
You may be a "solopreneur" or a company with thousand of employees.
I find it helpful to join forces with others for accountability purposes.
Go over your plan with a group of people then meet once a week to be held accountable.
Accountability is never about shaming others. It is for each person to hold themselves accountable for the goals he has set for themselves.
There are only 3 questions:
1) What did you say you would do?
2) Did you do what you said you would do?
3) If not, When will you complete this goal?
If yes, What is your next goal?
There is one main rule in accountability: THERE ARE NO EXCUSES.
It is an incredible exercise because we are all accustomed to telling why we did or didn't do something.
You may feel the need to give an explanation and others will expect it.
Don't do it!
Sit with your answers and let them resonate with you. Then do what you have to do to correct.
Many people experience dramatic shifts in their business and personal lives by implementing 90 Day Runs.
Will you participate in a 90-day run?
