Reputation Management is not about making you look good on social media.
It is a personal report that allows you to control what potential employers, lenders, and landlords may find when checking your credentials.
This is about helping you:
- land that dream job
- get the loan you applied for to buy a home or new car
- get accepted by a leasing company for that amazing apartment you want to live in
- uphold the reputation of your business
For small business owners, Reputation Management is about making sure your employees don't give your business a bad name.
We see it often in the media
The last time I posted about reputation management my assumptions were made about its purpose.
I read all kinds of excuses and mindsets on people's good reputations.
That's what happens when you don't read posts.
People are not aware that their social media is being scrutinized by more than employers.
Organizations you want to join may even scour your social media to see if you are a good fit for their cause.
There are automated programs that scour your social media to find content you forgot was there.
Would it be beneficial for you to scour your social media platforms to remove old content?
