I see too many posts from people using all lower case, no punctuation, and poor grammar.
I'm not talking about people with a disability. That's absolutely excusable and a different topic altogether.
Where do they get the notion that grammar and punctuation aren't necessary?
People wonder why they are misunderstood. They insist grammar isn't important.
When did we stop teaching the elements of language?
Consider these examples of punctuation:
A group of men and women were asked to punctuate the following sentence.
"A woman without her man is nothing."
The men wrote - A woman, without her man, is nothing.
The women wrote - A woman: without her, man is nothing.

And one more:
Think capitalization is not important? Read this:
Capitalization is the difference between "i helped my uncle jack off a horse" and
"I helped my uncle Jack off a horse"

Every aspect of language is important especially when it is written.
The whole point of language skills is to facilitate communication.
Most people today say, "Where are you at?", when, "where are you?" is correct.
Written communication lacks the vocal variety of verbal communication.
We've stopped learning to write properly so we now depend on emojis to get our point across.
Using proper language skills shows intelligence and respect for those you are communicating with.
