As I advanced in my career, one thing I always left my colleagues longing for was Chocolate Chip Cookies.

I lived in Germany at the time and Chocolate Chip cookies were known to be an American specialty.

Back in those days, I was also the only woman in the brass group (French horns, Trumpets, and Trombones/Tuba).

My colleagues always appreciated my cookies.

Then, one time I brought a homemade pecan pie to work.

Everyone loved the pecan pie.

Pecans are expensive and hard to come by.

I became known for my pecan pie mainly because I took the time to arrange the pecans on top making it even more inviting.

There are so many kinds of pie in the US.

Today is the day to bake or buy your favorite pie and invite someone to join you to eat it.
