I have met many people who have written a book or even several books.

Today, I celebrate my friend, @Lin Schussler-Williams, who wrote a small but powerful book titled, Nine Little Words to Change Your Results.

This is a book that, in very few words, 9 to be exact, helps you be more intentional in everything you do.

I have colleagues who carry this little book with them to give out as gifts to people they meet.

I would do the book no justice if I gave the 9 little words here in a post.

The 3 groups of 3 words each walk a person through a simple process to help them change in any area of their life that they wish to improve on.

You know what they say about things being simple but not easy, right?

These words need a commitment that many are not willing to make. Yet, nothing will change until they do.

First, acknowledge how you have done things in the past and then state how you want to them change so they will have a more positive influence in your life.

This is about letting go of old patterns by incorporating 3 short phrases.

Many of the quotes from her book are worth reflecting on. Here's one in particular that I like:

"No amount of security is worth the suffering of a mediocre life chained to a routine that has killed your dreams." - Maya Mendoza

How many habits are you hanging onto because they are part of your routine, it's the way you have always done it?

We all have to make changes to grow in our businesses and lives.

The intentional efforts to change the way you do things, so they continue to support you on your journey, also make the journey easier.

To continue with the analogy of the journey, from time to time you need a new and bigger suitcase.

The question is, are you willing to do whatever it takes to move forward?
