Writing original content daily isn't always easy.
Sometimes ideas flow, and other times...blank.
Today began as one of those blank days.
When you make a commitment, I mean, when you really make a commitment, there is no excuse.
I could say I have a sinus infection and don't feel well. It's an excuse.
I had a 102° fever last year and still found a way to post. It was my own content, revisited but I got it posted.
I was forming a habit.
Being committed to a worthy cause builds resilience.
It's worth taking the time and effort to put thoughts and ideas into writing.
Even on days we don't feel like it, we work, we think, we experience things, we do what we have to do.
You can get content ideas everywhere you turn.
You can share a life story, expand on a post you read and have opinions about, share ideas from a book you are reading.
Write about the weather, an upcoming seminar, or a conversation you had with someone.
You can write about someone who inspires you, or a quote or affirmation you feel drawn to.
Will everyone like what you write every time you post?
NOPE
Don't post content with the intention of everyone liking it.
Imagine if all the great writers, poets, and though leaders had never written down their ideas because they worried about who might not like it.
Your ideas might anger some people, make someone cry and other people laugh.
It's one way to give to others on LinkedIn, because no matter what you're writing about, there is someone who needs to read it.
People want to ponder new perspectives and meet like minded people.
Whatever you write about, do it with the intention of touching someone, somewhere.
Your connections want to learn more about you. They will want to refer you once they know you.
Your posts show them who you are.
Finding good content is not always easy but it's always worth it. Even if only for yourself.
