Worry is at an all time high for many people.
Too many are glued to their televisions listening to their preferred media's latest version of the news.
People who couldn't spell the word Ukraine or find it on a map a month ago are now immersed in the unfolding of the situation.
I do not intend in any way to play down the escalating and senseless violence we are seeing.
My thoughts and prayers go to all the innocent people caught in the middle of this mindless attack.
There are so many things most of us do not know and we are not hearing from any news source. This didn't happen over night.
Rather than fall into the mire of worry, which will not help anyone anywhere, I choose to remain positive.
Either way, this situation will continue.
People who worry don't understand how anyone can remain positive in times like these.
Worry is a self-centered emotion.
Worry does nothing more than keep the worrier emotionally bound to things that may or may not happen. Worry cannot resolve anything.
I don't understand why people worry.
Can anyone tell me one time when worrying helped a situation?
It doesn't exist.
Worry clouds the mind, keeping you from thinking clearly.
"Change your thoughts, change your world" ~Norman Vincent Peale
Everything changes when you learn to control your thoughts.
By keeping our thoughts positive we will do more to help the people of Ukraine and the whole world than if we all boast about how tragic and depressing it all is.
I think of people like Victor Frankl, Anne Frank and Corrie Ten Boom who remained positive despite their horrific circumstances with the Nazis.
We must keep a positive mindset, and send thoughts of peace, love and prayers to the Ukraine.
Being positive doesn't mean we play down the situation. It doesn't mean that we take what is happening lightly.
Those of us who remain positive are strong. We put our own fears and worries aside for the sake of the greater good, to give others courage.
Do you agree that we do more good by remaining positive?
