I had no idea what I was doing the first 10 years that I was on LinkedIn.

No wonder it felt like linkedIn didn't work; I didn't work it.

I did what the majority of people do by accepting every invitation that came my way.

I accepted and sent connection requests but engaged with none.

When you don't engage with people you haven't really connected at all.

John Maxwell wrote a book titled, Everyone Communicates, Few Connect.

It's a great book but if it had been in relation to LinkedIn, it could have been titled everyone connects, few communicate.

The magic begins when you start having conversations and building business relationships.

I now have friends and clients in states I've never been to.

A few weeks ago, I was invited to be a guest on a podcast with Nancee Johnson, a digital marketing strategist in Seattle, Washington (a state I've never been to).

I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to talk with Nancee about PPLSI's LegalShield for Small Business.

It's only because Nancee and I took the time to engage and have a conversation that this opportunity came about.

I am thankful that Nancee Johnson believed in me and invited me as a guest on her Digital Connections podcast.

A link to the podcast is in the comments.
