If you are one of the minority who post consistently on LinkedIn, you know that you sometimes receive negative comments.
Constructive criticism is always welcome for those of us who post.
We appreciate opposing viewpoints that may broaden our perspective.
Some people don't know how to leave constructive comments. It may be why they don't post their own content.
Lack of self-confidence has them hiding behind criticism of others content. They boost themselves with sarcastic or degrading comments but provide no valuable content of their own.
They come across as insulting and petty rather than constructive and helpful.
Most of the time I receive comments from people who genuinely want to share their opinion, experience, or ideas on whatever it is I'm posting about.
But there are still those who seem to have wandered over from Facebook, who think it's ok to lash out at people who don't see things the way they do.
They pounce on anyone who makes a mistake.
I appreciate the people who message me privately, as I do for them, when there are blatant mistakes in their spelling that they overlooked.
Should we stop writing because a few people only have negative things to say?
ABSOLUTELY NOT!
LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD.
Share your ideas and thoughts with us so that we can begin a dialogue not a debate.
LinkedIn is like a boardgames, not a shooting range.
Are you concerned with negative feedback on your posts?
Yes, I prefer constructive criticism
No, so long it's not rude
