The primary services my company provides are legal and identity theft services.
There are untold benefits right there, considering most people cannot afford to talk to an attorney.
But we also have a program in place called MemberPerks.
One of my clients called me and we had the following conversation:
She began, " Can you tell me why I am paying $30 a month for lawyers who won't do anything?"
(YIKES! It's Time to ask and listen)
I said, " What's going on?"
The client explained that her law firm would not write a letter for something she had no proof of. She insisted they should write a letter based on her word.
Y'all, that is not how a reputable lawyer does his job.
The conversation was much longer, of course, but I finally told her she could cancel LegalShield and go get a regular lawyer at $300 per hour to get the same answer.
The client said...(This was my favorite part!!), "NO WAY, I would never give up my LegalShield, the MemberPerks!"
I said, "There you go. You just answered your first question. You're paying $30 per month because the perks a great, AND I bet you've gotten some good advice from your law firm as well".
The client went on to tell me how green the law firm was when she loved to another state and a few other things.
I thanked my client for calling and asked her to call me when good things happen to.
She was happy when we hung up.
It pays to listen with empathy and empower customers to answering their own questions.
