Time change has been a topic over the past week.
As of March 15, 2022, the US Senate approved that as of next year, 2023, the time change will be abolished.
Immediately following that announcement the nay-sayers got to work.
Now we read that the lack of a time change will come with health risks.
Either way there are risks.
I never found that the one hour change made that much different at all.
No, it's not that much lighter in the morning for kids going to school.
Farmers don't need an extra hour of light anymore.
All we need to change is our minds. ADJUST and move forward.
I'm a proponent of Universal Time.
Imagine that no matter where you are in the world, it's 12 pm.
Now that the whole world is open for business 24/7, we would have no problem with time zones, which are man-made constructs anyway.
OK, the way we measure time is also man-made.
I presented the idea of Universal Time to a few people and they simply could not wrap their heads around it.
There was talk about not wanting to go to work at 3 am, for example.
Who cares what you call it?
When the sun comes up and you get out of bed, it's time to go to work. Does it matter what time we name that?
Say you leave New York for a 6 hour flight to California. The flight departs at 8 am. Our current time zones have you landing at 11 am, while it's now 2 pm in NY.
With Universal Time, it would be 2 pm in both places.
No confusion.
As we are today, people are constantly trying to juggle time zones to make online meetings work.
It's just a thought. I'm all about simplicity.
Do you agree with ending the Time Change?
