422 - Have you ever received a refund from an attorney?

One of my peers shared a situation he just experienced with one of our attorneys.

After having to retain an attorney for some legal representation, his situation was resolved.

About a week later, he received a call from his LegalShield provider law firm.

The initial voice message said something about settling the bill so he assumed that he had a balance to pay but ____

When he spoke to the attorney, he was told that he would receive a refund for the unused portion retention fee.

I had never heard of anyone getting a refund.
