I was scheduled to have a zoom meeting with a new LinkedIn connection, @Lisa Riggs.
At the same time, I was on the road traveling to Austin, Texas for a network meeting with people I met on LinkedIn.
I made a slight change to my plans to give Lisa a small experience, just for fun.
I stopped at Buc-Cees for our meeting.
Texas is home to Buc-Cees (pron. Bucky's), the world's largest gas station/ convenience store.
There are 120 gas pumps at this station in New Braunfels, Texas. The store is an impressive 66,335 square feet, with an entire counter dedicated to Beef Jerky!
See the pictures for a glance at what awaits you at Buc-Cees.
Buc-Cees took the average rest stop gas station and turned it into a destination for travelers. They are known for their very clean restrooms.
Lisa Riggs, Sock Queen, is Founder of Spirit Sox, USA took a fundraising idea and turned it into a thriving business.
I wasn't sure she would see the correlation but I took the chance and gave her a quick virtual tour.
It's incredible what we can do when we apply our imagination to business.
Meanwhile, my destination in Austin is all about meeting the team from BX Networking out of Australia.
That will be another post.
How are you using LinkedIn? Is it a place where you search for your target audience or are you open to meeting new people who may lead you to your target?
Along the way, there are incredible relationships you can build.
Don't miss the experiences because you are so focused on getting business. There won't be business with everyone but you can make great networking partners along the way.
