Meet Oswald.

Oswald, better known as Ozzie, sees the world through rose colored glasses (or any other color you put on him).

He's easy.

One definition of wearing rose colored glasses is, optimistic eyes. An example is when you see only the good points in a person, your view of them is unrealistic.

I have been told that I need to look at both sides of a person, not only the good side, because I tend to see the good in everyone.

Yes, I've been burned as a result, and I have no regrets.

Those people exposed themselves as being untrustworthy, so I learned along the way.

I often stress the point of meeting with people I connect with on LinkedIn.

If you can look someone in the eyes and learn more about them, you'll get a clearer picture of how you can help them.

I'm not talking about selling them your services, but rather helping them get what they are looking on LinkedIn.

The more you help others, the more you will be helped.

If everyone was here to help others we wouldn't have anyone coming across as a sleazy sales person.

As Zig Ziglar said, "You can have anything you want in life if you help enough other people get what they want".

We connect with a purpose, not just to build a large network of meaningless connections.

Look for the good things first but don't ignore or neglect the warning signs, if there are any.

To sustain working relationships you've got to look deeper and learn more.

Don't make assumptions.

We can all work better together when we are honest and transparent, not boasting about ourselves.

I've learned to see the good first and pay attention to the intentions of the people I connect with.

I love connecting and meeting new people but that doesn't serve them if I can't give them referrals.

Do you ever wear rose colored glasses?
