There's something invigorating about meeting new people.
You get new perspectives and new ideas. 💡
Connecting on LinkedIn is the starting point although, some people act as if it's the end.
What is your intention for connecting?
Do you think that person will be a great next client and you can't wait to show them your newest widget?
You just set off on the wrong foot.
Connect with the intention of getting to know people, period.
You're thinking that I'm crazy because this is a platform to do business.
NO, LinkedIn is a business platform.
You'll do more business if you get to know people first.
Business is about relationships, not just selling stuff.
This morning I had the great pleasure of meeting two amazing new people.
I met with two completely different business people from different areas of the country, different backgrounds, perspectives, desires, goals, and areas of expertise.
Bret Packard, from Las Vegas, coaches leaders all over the world. I hadn't realized we share 100 mutual connections.
In his career as a banker, Bret has traveled the world, which is something I value highly in people.
Traveling to foreign countries broadens the mind like nothing else.
I also met with HILLARY GOODEN who is passionate about helping women (and men) take care of their lymphatic system.
Thanks to Hillary, I will be looking at purchasing a mini trampoline, which I've wanted to do for some time now. She motivated me!
It's a new month and I encourage everyone to meet with someone new every day.
Connecting alone is not enough. Engage with people!
Be authentic. Be YOU.
I met 2 new wonderful people, and I met them both before noon on a Monday!!
How much better can the week get? 😀👍
