We are all changing whether we like it or not...all the time.
A while back, Steve Wohlenhaus began his post with the following comment:
Better to change before you have to.
That is sage advice.
I believe it is wiser to navigate the waves of change to create the person you want to be than wash up on the shore of who you currently are.
Meanwhile, the world is changing around you.
To use the same metaphor, wouldn't you rather surf the waves than be swept away in a rip tide?
Think about it.
You will go through changes in your life no matter what.
We all have the ability to control. at least to some degree, how we will change.
No one can take away your ability to think.
You can either go with the mainstream flow and think like everyone else, or you can stand up and go against the flow.
It's harder, yes. It's also worth it for the person you will become.
Conscious Leadership, Conscious everything, Resilience...all buzz words that resonate the power of taking control of how you change.
One way to show how you are changing is to help lift those around you.
There is no more significant measure of leadership in business or in life than to help others.
Gandhi said it best, "Be the change you want to see in the world".
Don't resist change. BE THE CHANGE!
Are you consciously becoming the best version of yourself or are you resisting change to fit in to the status quo?
