There are undoubtedly a lot of scammers and unethical people on LinkedIn.
But they are NOT the majority.
Likewise, there are a lot of pushy sales people who want to sell something to you the minute you connect.
Again, they are NOT the majority.
There are also many interesting, engaging, educated, positive minded people who provide valuable services and products.
They ARE the majority.
Look for people who are
✅ Like-minded
✅ Positive
✅ Engaging
✅ Value Oriented
✅ Honest
✅ Giving
✅ Transparent
✅ and all the other qualities you are looking for
Move on, rather than waste time on, people who are
❌ Negative
❌ Pushy
❌ Sleazy
❌ Salesy
❌ Aggressive
❌ Controversial
❌ Have nothing to give
❌ Only interested in themselves
Ain't no one got time for that!!
Don't waste time arguing publicly. If it's not bringing value to the network, set up a private meeting to hash out your differences.
Guest what?! YOU WON'T DO IT. People who love controversy re usually the ones who want to be seen
These people want to show themselves publicly. Look how much I know!! I'll win this argument.
Sure, you may win an argument or out debate someone else but you will lose credibility and valuable followers.
Do you really want a following of sheep? Those who will cheer you on but never submit their own post on the subject? They won't want to do business with you.
They're only there for the drama. Well, I have bad news for them...
LinkedIn is not about life's dramas.
It's not about how many likes and views you get. It's about working together to help each other in business.
Some people are on here thinking it's all about them and what they can sell today. NOPE!
The serious, honest, hardworking and well-meaning people are here to help each other do business.
Stop expecting the worst on here.
Assume you will meet like-minded people and you will.
Own your place on LinkedIn by giving a seat to someone else.
Most of us are here to help everyone grow together.
Do you expect the worst when someone requests to connect with you?
