As @T Harv Eker says, "How you do anything is how you do everything".

It's the small things we do that show who we really are, the unconscious actions in our everyday tasks.

It got me thinking about our conscious and unconscious behaviors as we prepare for the day.

Many people start the day by taking a shower.

When you turn off the shower, do you dry off before you step out or do you step out dripping wet, then dry off?

Are you one of those people who obliviously leaves the bathroom soaking wet?

We won't even go into how you dry off? Top to bottom, bottom to top, face first, back first...

OH, THE CHOICES!

There are so many questions over the things we do unconsciously.

Do you leave your clothes in the floor in a bunch, strewn all over the house or in a laundry basket?

How do you brush your teeth? Is the mirror full of splatters when you're done?

We wouldn't want to forget the deeply reflective question, which way you squeeze the toothpaste tube? And, do you replace the cap when you're done?

Do you put on your seat belt before you start the car, or as you drive away?

When you get to work and grab a cup of coffee, (if you use sugar and cream) do you leave the spoon on the counter or in the sink for someone else to clean up?

Do you leave your empty coffee cup on your desk for days?

When getting on a plane, do you pay attention to the people around you or do you cram your elbow into some poor passenger's head as you stow your carry on bag?

The number of actions we take an any given day is endless.

We could all name a few quirky or annoying habits our family, friends and colleagues have.

Guess what. They can name a few of your habits too.

Do you return the items you borrow from colleagues?

Think about your day from which foot you put on the floor first until the last thing you do at night.

How many of your unconscious habits can you recognize that may be inconsiderate to others?

Where do you dry off?
