The statistics show that very few people actually engage on LinkedIn.

@Koda August said it best that most people on LinkedIn are lurkers.

If you are here but you don't engage, what's the point?

Does engaging mean telling everyone how you can help them?

WRONG, that communicates that you are desperate to sell them something.

The fastest way to grow a solid network is to start engaging.

✅ Connect and Engage

✅ Post and Engage

✅ Comment and continue to Engage

Engaging means to participate by writing your own content, comment and like other people's posts, especially those you want to engage with.

Don't forget, even those who are not your target audience know people who are.

Instead of focusing on what I need, I first focus on what others need.

I pass referrals to people with no expectation of receiving anything back.

I don't keep track of who I help either. That is focusing on the wrong thing.

Never boast about who you have helped.

There are many reasons for this and I hope they are obvious. If not, please ask me privately.

My focus is to help others and it reciprocates, always.

What most people don't understand is that the reciprocation never comes when or how you think it will.

Simply accept that your giving will come back to you in the appropriate time, place and way.

We need you to speak up on LinkedIn.

We want to know what you have to say.

Engage with us and raise the engagement of the entire platform.

Imagine if everyone whose content you read from was too self conscious or timid to post what they have to say. LinkedIn wouldn't exist!

Do you engage beyond liking or commenting on posts?

You know that CEO you want so badly to talk to? THEY READ POSTS!

What about the rest of the C level executives who read what's going on daily on LinkedIn?

They may not engage as much for obvious reasons. They would get bombarded by connection requests and sales pitches. but, THEY READ!

I know the statistics of this will be skewed because I connect with people who engage. But I hope more will see it and be truthful with their vote.

How often do you post your own content?
