I am inspired by 2 posts I read today that discuss the way we choose to think.

In both posts the core thought was, what you think about you bring about.

@Jeff Talarico's post reminded us that happiness is truly a choice that we make. Being happy is not dependent on your outside circumstances, nor can any person make you happy.

That brings me to the second post from @Cynthia Soares-Harfoush where she discusses the book, A New Earth, by Eckhardt Tolle.

Tolle shows us how our egos show up in a way that causes us to dysfunction. It's a deep book with life transforming lessons, if you are willing to embrace them.

When we change the way we look at things, the things we look at change. ~ Wayne Dyer

We have so much talk about mental stress and anxiety caused by Covid.

That is how many choose to define it but Covid didn't create our mental issues. WE DID.

Now it's a trend to talk about how stressed out we have become. We are so stressed that we caused our children to become frightened and worried.

The whole point of Tolle's message is that, while we must acknowledge the anxiety and other repercussions of Covid, we don't have to focus on anxiety and worry.

It sounds simplistic to some but suffice it to say, Live as if.

Live as if you have no troubles. Put as smile on your face.

Decide to be happy, no matter what.

A good friend of mine was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer a year ago.

She forbade any discussion of the illness as she was going through treatments. Medications cause her to gain weight and lose some hair yet every day she had a smile on her face.

My friend worked in her garden, cooked healthy foods and laughed every day.

Last week her doctors were stunned to find that there is no cancer left in her body.

It is not a frivolous thing to be happy.

It's necessary for life!
