I am thankful this year for so many wonderful experiences, for the people I have met and those I have yet to meet.
I'm thankful for everything that comes into my life because I understand that it happened for a reason either to help me grow or show me I'm on the right path.
♥️ Today, I give thanks for the traditions we have surrounding Thanksgiving.
My memories of Thanksgiving traditions include many things, from wonderful smells coming from the kitchen to cheering football crowds at the local game.
Then came the big dinner complete with Turkey, and all the trimmings.
In my family, there were dishes I hated, such as mashed potatoes, Brussel sprouts, and rutabaga.
Then there were things I loved such as the crispy turkey skin, homemade gravy, and oyster stuffing.
🥧 Pumpkin and apple pie were always on the dessert table but when pecan pie was introduced, I was hooked.
If pecan pie is the only food served after the turkey, that's fine with me.
When I go back later for another round, it will be for more pecan pie.
Now, I'm thankful my pecan pie is ready to trade places with the turkey in the oven.
