Part of a good identity theft protection should include IRS frad protection for the event you fall victim to tax return theft.
The following story is from another satisfied member about the help he got using his IDShield membership.

“My Tax Return was hacked! While traveling out of state for business my CPA called saying they could not eFile my taxes because someone already had!
My first call was to (identity theft plan) and within minutes, I had a licensed investigator on the line who offered to check my credit report for any red flags, which I approved.
He then offered to file the report that would lock down my credit, which I also approved.
He then offered to check my wife's credit report and lock down her credit as well, which I approved.
He then explained the process I’d have to go through with the IRS now and in the future.
What would have been a nightmare to deal with on my own while on a business trip was a 15-minute call with an expert so I could go on with my life.
It’s such peace of mind knowing I have experts who are watching our back!” - M. Bishop, OR

You can no longer rely on luck to protect you from IRS fraud.
Monitoring alone will not detect IRS Fraud.
Monitoring services are there to protect your credit.
The vast misconception that your bank credit card company or credit bureaus can prevent identity theft have gone on long enough.
THEY DO NOT PREVENT IDENTITY THEFT NOT CAN THEY DETECT MOST FORMS OF IDENTITY THEFT.
I don't know how else to say that so that people will listen.
Do you know exactly what your idenity theft protection does and doesn't cover?
