You don't have to do anything wrong to get sued.
Bad things happen to good people all the time. Small business owners face the possibility of a lawsuit every day.
As our economy gets tighter, some people will go to desperate means.
Here is how one of our small business owners handled a frivolous lawsuit against him.

"I own a small auto repair business.
A year ago, I was accused of a multitude of things by a customer and, while all of it was completely false, that customer sued me.
So that I didn't lose by default, I had to defend myself in court. Thankfully, I have been a member of (legal plan) for years.
I just spent three days in court with a full jury while my provider lawyer took the plaintiff apart and exposed all the lies of the accusations one by one.
The jury unanimously found in MY favor on each and every count. I am so grateful.
If I had lost, I would have had to pay over $37,000 plus court costs and legal fees.
As a member of (legal plan), my trial defense hours were covered so they didn't cost me anything... and I won.
I can't even describe the sense of relief I have." - D. Hammond, ID

None of us are invincible and the law is complicated.
We can do everything right, crossing our t's and dotting our i's.
But unforeseen circumstances can hit us completely unannounced.
I don't know about you, but I would rather have legal protection and not need it than be without it and need it.
It keeps you from getting your insurance company involved and possibly have your rates go up or the claim denied.
This protection saved me $10K when a similar situation occurred and I had a lawyer go to court for me in another state. We won and I never had to leave home.
Regardless of how innocent you are, you could find yourself in an uncomfortable legal situation.
This is one of the ways I help protect small business owners every day.
