I have been reading a lot about archaic and unproductive hiring practices.
German philosopher, Arthur Schopenhauer's theory that all new ideas go through three phases, "All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed or distorted. Then it is fought. And finally, it is taken for granted."
Right now, the hiring process is in phase two. It is being fought...opposed.
The hiring process is being attacked by job seekers everywhere.
Employers can no longer use archaic methods of hiring they used in the past. New methods are not cutting it either.
I'm not the authority on this because I choose to work on my own from home. I'd be a lousy employee.
I'm bringing it here to my network for suggestions and solutions.
The one thing I don't see a lot of is constructive ideas to improve the process.
Too many people are moaning and whining about the way it is but few offer any positive ideas for improvement.
The lack of emotional intelligence in these conversations is staggering, with the content being more suitable for Facebook.
Immaturity will not land anyone a job, regardless of how impressive a resume may be.
Hiring takes place at local, national, and even international levels.
How would you improve the hiring process for both the employer and the employee?
