Do you have a low credit score and are therefore not concerned about identity theft?
I hate to tell you but identity thieves love low credit scores. They know you aren't paying attention to your credit so they can wreak havoc unnoticed.
Are you one of those people who thinks identity theft is all about your money?
That is false!
Were you told that your credit monitoring protects you from identity theft?
Also false!
Here are a few more facts about identity theft that you8 should consider:
- The police do not handle identity theft, beyond taking a report.
- Your credit card company and your bank do not handle identity theft. They handle financial fraud on the accounts you have with them.
- The FBI does not handle identity theft.
Why is there so much confusion? Maybe it's because most identity theft protection companies do not handle anything above that which can be monitored.
Meanwhile, most identity theft can not be monitored.
Your drivers license is not monitored.
Your medical information is not monitored.
Your Social Security Number is not monitored (unless it is being used to secure a loan)
If you're using identity theft services you saw on TV or purchased online, you probably don't have a personal representative to call for help. You have a call center where service reps are reading from a computer screen.
2023 is right around the corner. Don't start another year not understanding what is happening with your information.
You don't have to buy anything from me. But please take my word for it and get some form of protection for you and your family.
